“Gave help and escorted boat”
A two-screen installation exploring the relationship between community, memory, labour, and the sea. Developed through conversations with past and present crew members of Aberystwyth Lifeboat Station, the work reflects on generations of service, inherited responsibility, and the enduring relationship between people and a coastline continually reshaped by wind, tide, and time . Combining documentary observation with personal testimony, the installation considers how knowledge, duty, and collective memory are passed between generations, and how communities continue to be shaped by the environments they depend upon.
